Martin Engineering was headquartered in Kewanee, IL until 1954, when Edwin F. Peterson bought a new location nine miles outside of town in rural Neponset, IL.

Today, Martin Engineering's Neponset headquarters has expanded to occupy more than 152,000 square feet (14,121 m2) of floor space. The campus now includes sophisticated engineering, research and development, machining and urethane molding capabilities. An integrated computer system controls order entry, manufacturing, inventory and accounting. The Neponset facility is certified to the "world-class" ISO 9001 Quality Systems.

In 2008, the company opened its new Center for Bulk Materials Handling Innovation (CFI) in Neponset. As headquarters for Martin Engineering’s global research and development efforts, CFI holds the promise of improved productivity and profitability in for industrial operations where the clean, efficient handling of a bulk material is a key to the production process.

Effective October 15, 2016, CleanScrape GmbH was acquired by Martin Engineering. Martin is known for being an innovative leader in belt cleaning, among many other areas.
