Employees stretched before the walk in Neponset.

The walk was well attended by Martin employees after lunch.

A bake sale, featuring pink baked goods, was held during breakfast and lunch hours in the Martin cafe.

Raffle tickets were sold for a Nook, gift cards and flower baskets. All items were donated by the Peterson family.


La semana pasada, Martin realizó su segunda jornada anual de celebración del día rosa para recaudar fondos y concientizar a la población sobre la inciativa Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure llevada a cabo el 10 de mayo en Peoria, IL. Las actividades incluyeron la venta de pasteles horneados de color rosado, una venta de camisetas y sorteos, seguidas por una caminata de 1 milla en Neponset. 

All funds raised were matched by the Peterson family, and a check for $3,776 will be presented to the Susan G. Komen Memorial Affiliate. Martin has been a proud sponsor of the Race for the Cure for several years.

Martin encourages community outreach by actively participating in and fostering a culture of volunteerism.
